Manual :

1. Water balancing: Before use, make sure your pool water chemistry is balanced: pH between 7.2 and 7.6, Alkalinity between 80 and 120 ppm, Calcium hardness between 200 and 400 ppm, CYA less than 50 ppm, Phosphates less than 100 ppb.
2. Preparation: Before beginning the metal stain removal process, add a paste-based filter aid for cartridge and sand filters. DE filters must be properly charged.
3. Chlorine Reduction: Reduce the chlorine level to 1 ppm or less to allow Stain Free to work effectively.
4. Application :
   • For surface stains: Add 1 lb. of Stain Free for every 10,000 gallons directly to stained areas with the pump off and leave to sit overnight.
   • For water discoloration: Put the pool in recirculation mode, add 1 lb. of Stain Free for every 10,000 gallons around the pool deck. Let the circulation run for an hour, then turn off the pump and let it sit overnight.
5. Cleaning: Carefully brush the walls and bottom of the pool before turning the pump back on.
6. Filtration: After cleaning, turn the pump back on and add an anti-metal treatment around the edge of the pool.
7. Filter maintenance: Clean the filter according to the type of filter installed.
8. Rebalance the water: Do not perform a chlorine shock for at least a week after treatment.
9. Maintenance: Use an anti-metal treatment weekly to prevent future metal stains.

Precautions:

• Do not swim in the pool until stain treatment is complete and normal chlorine levels are restored.
